What’s included in my ShareGate subscription?
The migration tool and ShareGate Management exist together as a single subscription---so you have all the resources you need to be successful in the Microsoft cloud.
When you purchase your ShareGate subscription, you'll receive an active ShareGate license. This license gives you immediate access to all the ShareGate tools.
How much will my ShareGate subscription cost?
With your active ShareGate license, you can use the migration tool and ShareGate Management at no extra cost because your ShareGate subscription includes both! Isn't that great?
Build your subscription on our pricing page. Pricing starts at $5,995 USD for 1 year.
Are there any limits to my ShareGate subscription?
The following limits apply depending on the ShareGate subscription you choose:
- The migration tool has a 1-, 5-, or 25-license activation limit depending on your subscription, and no tenant limit.
- ShareGate Management has no user limits but does have a 1-tenant limit.
For example, let's say you choose a ShareGate subscription with 5 license activations. That means up to 5 admins can access the migration tool at the same time, while an unlimited number of users can access ShareGate Management and the ShareGate end-user app.
Note: You can transfer your license activation to another computer or user.
How many tenants can I connect to ShareGate?
You can connect 1 production tenant to ShareGate Management and an unlimited number of tenants to the migration tool, per license.
For example, if you love your ShareGate subscription and want to buy 2 licenses, you'd be able to connect 2 production tenants to ShareGate Management.
Tip: Experiment with all that ShareGate has to offer! Start by adding a test tenant to the migration tool. Then, when you're ready to do your migrations, connect to your production tenants. For ShareGate Management, start by testing features on a subset of your environment. Turn on automation when you feel confident to roll it out to your organization.
Where do I find my license key?
If you've created a ShareGate account for your subscription, you can find your license key on the Subscription page of ShareGate Home.
Otherwise, when you buy ShareGate, your license key is emailed to you. If you can't find the email with your license key, check your spam folder. If you still can't find it, our friendly sales representatives will be happy to assist you.

Is ShareGate right for my organization?
ShareGate will work for most organizations.
However, for ShareGate Management, there are some general limitations for organizations with a very large number of teams and Microsoft 365 groups and for organizations with Microsoft national cloud deployments.
What's ShareGate Home?
ShareGate Home is your space to access the migration tool and ShareGate Management; ShareGate resources and extra help; and manage your subscription, access account details, and license activations.
Think of it like your home base.
